45 years ago, the Walt Disney World Theme Park and Resort opened it’s doors to the world. Capitalizing on space and funds, Walt Disney World truly is a world of it’s own, transporting guests to the world of fantasy and tomorrow. On opening day, Disney World was only the Magic Kingdom, but the park has experienced many changes
over the years.
Originally, the Magic Kingdom theme park boasted Main Street USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. Since then, the Enchanted Forest and Storybook Circus have been added to enhance the theme park’s atmosphere and appeal. While the park currently features over 40 attractions, opening day only had a fraction of them. Most attractions are still running, except for Snow White’s Scary Adventures which was recently replaced.
