Learn about astrology- Learn the inside secrets of jyotish

In India, astrology is called jyotish. It’s meaning is science of light or knowledge of light. It is also called Indian Astrology or Vedic Astrology. Jyotish is an astrology practiced in India. The word Jyotish literally means the science of light. Astrology can be a useful tool to help you plan your life and make decisions. Whether it is for business or home, an astrological reading provides an overview of the situation, the large perspective. We all need the view from the mountain-top from time to time. Vedic astrology is a form of astrology derived from the traditions of ancient India. Because of this, Vedic Astrology is particularly good for those who do yoga or meditate, or are interested in ayurvedic medicine.

Jyotish is the oldest system of astrology in the world. It’s derived from  the  Sanskrit  word  “jyoti”  which means light.  As the pure light of  scientific knowledge, the word Jyotish implies studying a person’s  character,  health,  habits  and  even the future on the basis of his or her birth chart.Jyotish  is  practiced  by  a  skilled   astrologer  by  calculating   the positions  of the  planets and  other celestial bodies with regard to a person’s birth or  happening of an event.   In essence,  it depends on the time, date and place of birth or the event. The results, if calculated accurately, lead to generation of numerous tables and charts that only a skilled astrologer can study and derive useful information from. The rules of  interpretation  of  these  charts  are  also  based on the  study done by ancient sage-scientists. Normally, such a study takes about  10-15 hours  to complete  and  is  followed by  a decision about appropriate remedial actions that can be taken to enhance the person’s life. Jyotish describes the planetary patterns at the time of our birth and can give us valuable clues to understanding our life’s journey. Through careful analysis of these cosmic influences, Jyotish can help us to realistically evaluate our strengths and challenges in order to optimize our full potential. By forecasting the changing trends and periods of our lives, Jyotish can also enable us to make more evolutionary choices. It offers practical remedial measures to alleviate areas of difficulty, giving us the confidence to manifest our true destiny and create success, happiness, and harmony on all levels. Vedas are the oldest literature known to human beings and the history of Astrology traces back to Vedic times, lakhs of years ago from now. Astrology is ‘VedaChakshu’, the guiding eye for molding the future and attaining self- realization. The fundamentals of Vedic Astrology were believed to have been instituted by Brahma, the creator. This knowledge was then passed down to various Rishis and to man. Jyotisha Shastra, Vedic Astrology, in its current form, is thought to have been written several thousand years ago by Maharishi Parashara, although, the work have even have existed several thousand years more prior to that in oral form. Planets are called ‘Grahas’ in vedic Astrology. Graha means that which catches. Grahas are those which catch the human beings and shed their influence on them. Grahas affect all inanimate and animate objects in this world. Vedic astrology offers an ancient astrological perspective that asks these very same profound and confounding questions, questions asked some 5000 years ago by the very authors of the Vedas, the Puranas, the Bramanas, the Upanishads, and the Bhagavadgita. A learned and experienced astrology consultant considers all the aspects of a horoscope and come to a conclusion how each aspect affects the personality and future events of a person.
