There was an ancient tradition of Narbali [Human sacrificing] , for the purpose of pleasing the God, was an orthodoxy and crime due to ignorance in human society. It was practised throughout the world even in highly civilised societies due to ignorance and blind faith. Uttarakhand the land of kind hearted rulers and public was also influenced by that social evils, after external aggressions and public was forced to preserve  the systems came with invaders. There was only existing animal sacrificing or Pashu Bali before periodical external aggressions including from central Asia.It was popular amongst the kings of Khas dynasty and Kanfata Nath Jogis. The animal sacrificing traditions like Athwad[ sacrificing the male buffalo & goats] and Astha bali[ sacrificing eight goats together] is still existing in Uttarakhand. The Nar Bali was preserved by Kings and Tantriks till end of Gorakha domination in 1814 AD. It was a political pressure on public , to break the possible revolutions against rulers. The contamparary laws, made by kings and their ministers that  each village will hand over the member for Narbali, as per requirements. The detailed family was bound to obey the royal orders.The ancient book Harsh Charita proved that the Narbali was in practice in Mahakal Temple. An orthodox king of Munda dynasty started the Narbali for Lord Shiva to please him. The entire Kumaon region was effected by that social evil, Great Guru Nanak Dev Ji was witnessed at Bageswar during sixteenth century.The historical place ShriNagar [ Garhwal ] was also witnessed the Narbali during ancient time near ShriYantra. There were many alternatives for Narbali in Tantrik Vidya but the Kings and their ministers were found of Narbali , to maintain the political pressure on public to control possible internal crisis in kingdom and maintain the social evil due to ignorance. Now- a-days many societies maintain the Pashu Bali[ animal sacrification] .Before Pashu Bali the undermentioned Mantra mantrit by tantrik near the ear of animal-
         ASWAM NAIV GAJAM NAIV SINGHAM NAIVACH NAIV CHA,
         AJAPUTRO   BALINDYAT DEVO   DURWALGHATAK.
     The same mantra was used by tantriks while worshipping Masan, Anchhari, and Aidis during Pashu Bali [animal sacrificing] to please them. There is an existence of super natural power in universe, which aspects the Sato Gun or non-voilance procedure from devotees /worshippers . The non-violence procedure is available in Tantrik Vidya, which was ignored in the social/religious history of human evolution.
